The "Church of Christ" in Ridgeway - Who we are.

We, the "church of Christ" that meets in Ridgeway, believe the Holy Bible to be the true word of God and that it is given to the church for doctrine, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that we may be complete and thoroughly equipped for every good work.  We believe that God is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. We believe that God sent His Son into the world to save sinners. We believe that we are sinners in need of God's grace, mercy and love. We believe that God will judge all mankind in the end.  We believe that Jesus came, died and was resurrected and is now seated at the right hand of God with all authority in heaven and on earth. We believe Jesus is God's answer for sin. For Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life, nobody comes to the father except by Me and upon this rock, I will build "My church". This is where we get the name for the Church, because it belongs to Christ. "Church of Christ". We believe that Christ is Head over the church and He is the Savior of the body. And that He gave Himself for the church that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word. We believe that we are members of His body (the church). But God now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man (Christ) whom He has ordained. We believe it is the duty of the church (it's members) to reach the lost with the word of God, the whole word of God. To believers to assure you of that blessed hope and to unbelievers to teach you the power of God unto salvation. The church's role is summed up in this.  Matt 28:18-20 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

If you visit with us, what you will find is a warm and friendly family atmosphere.  You will find brothers and sisters working together, helping one another, encouraging one another in the faith. You will not meet a stranger here. We believe in a simple conservative approach in our service to God. We simply do things that the bible gives us the authority to do and we leave the rest alone. We teach the whole Word of God from the front cover to the back cover. When the whole word of God is preached, it will from time to time convict our hearts and cause us to make changes in our lives. Like we said earlier, It is the power of God unto salvation. You will hear what one needs to do to be saved and you will hear what one needs to do to remain faithful. We are very interested in you and your soul's salvation. We would very much like to meet you and for you to take time to come and visit with us. We offer personal bible studies.
